Historic Lake CottageThis historic home was built in 1928 from lumber milled on the property and is a wonderful place to enjoy the cool clear waters of Lake Burton. The four bedroom, three bathroom home is on a flat lot and has one of the best views on the lake with beautiful sunset views.Three bedrooms are on the main level and a fourth bedroom is upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an attached bathroom. On the other side of the house are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds and these bedrooms share a bathroom. The family bedroom upstairs has a queen bed and four twin beds with an attached bathroom.Outside you will find an old-fashioned tree swing, two hammocks, and a fire pit. There is room for a rousing game of volleyball or badminton.The flat lot leads to the lake which has a shallow entrance which quickly deepens for great swimming or floating on rafts. Play in the water or take the two kayaks or the canoe out into Murray Cove. There is seating on the dock or above the boathouse to watch over those in or on the water.If you would like to swing on the porch swing and listen to the sound of a screen door shutting, this house is for you. You can drink from old fashioned aluminum glasses, play ping pong, make home made ice cream and cook on the grill. You can end your day at the fire pit roasting marshmallows, listening to the gentle waves calm down and watching for the lightning bugs to come out.Let us help you enjoy this lovely setting.
