The Denver Botanic Gardens and their sister garden, Chatfield Farms, are an easy drive or Uber ride away.Ski resorts are within a few hours’ drive and include Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland Ski Area, Eldora and more. If you park on any streets in Denver — especially downtown! — street sweeping regulations are posted and strictly enforced. Follow the rules to avoid getting a ticket.For those without a car, we suggest utilizing a ride sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Both are readily available in Denver and its suburbs. Downtown Denver, the RiNo Arts District and Lower Highlands (LoHi) are very walkable, and you will see rental bikes and scooters scattered around town. From Union Station downtown, you can catch a light rail to several other neighborhoods, including Arvada and Golden.If you’ve never been to Denver, it’s easy to get oriented. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is almost directly east of Lakewood. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas. I-25 offers access to Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder, and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.
