Between a 3 and 10 minute drive and you can rent boats at 4 harbors. Rental boats in different sizes and strengths can be rented in Matlacha and Pine Island and for hours, days or weeks. You can start here directly by the open sea without locks and without long canals. For those who are not experienced with boats it would be best with pontoon boats. Boat licenses are not required in Florida. However, you should not be completely inexperienced. There the island world is breathtaking and always remains unforgettable. For those who would prefer to be driven, there are organized boat rides with Tropic Star in Pine Island to Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key, Boca Grande (enough time for swimming).Kayaks: Kayaks and canoes can be rented from Gulf Coast Kayaks in Matlacha, 3 miles away. They offer daily tours of the Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve, a Sunset Birding Tour or a romantic Moonlight Matlacha kayak cruise when there is a full moon.Golfers: The most beautiful golf courses of Cape Coral is just 10 to 15 minutes awayBeaches: There are beautiful beaches in the Cape Coral area.
