With an easy walk to trails, slopes, ski school, restaurants, shops, and local transportation, there is no need for a car – everything is right out your door! Please read on for more details.The Property:At over 1100 square feet, Ski Time Square 503 is larger than most standard 2-Bedrooms in the base area, and with this condo, you get the loft space as a bonus! It’s a top floor unit with 20 foot high vaulted ceilings in the living room and 15 foor high ceilings in the upper level bedroom. The big windows in these rooms provide lots of natural light which add a spacious feel. The condo is laid out on two levels. The entry level consists of the first bedroom, a full bathroom, the kitchen, the living and dining room, and a large balcony with amazing views. There is also an entry nook with a bench and storage for your coats and hats. The upper level includes the second bedroom, another full bathroom, and the loft bedroom, which overlooks the living room below. In 2016, upgrades to the property included the addition of granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, new cabinets & appliances, as well as new paint & furniture. The edge of the ski slopes is only about 150 meters from the building. With ski lockers at the entrance, heading out for a few runs or coming home for lunch is super easy. Want to head out for some Apres Ski drinks and food? You’ll have lots of great restaurants to choose from. Enjoy all the activities, events, shops and dining options of the base area when you stay here. If you want to hit the supermarkets or check out downtown Steamboat, the free city bus picks up about 200 meters from the building, and can get you pretty much anywhere in town. If you are headed outside of town for a snowmobile tour, sleigh ride dinner, or a dip in the Strawberry Park Hot Springs? Those companies have shuttles that will pick you up and drop you back off. No need to worry about parking or driving in winter conditions. When you stay here, the location makes having a car unnecessary.Arrival, Accessibility, and Parking:Once you book, we’re here to support you. We will provide you with arrival instructions and answer any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property does require stairs. From the most convenient drop off points, a half a flight of stairs up or down is required. There is also a half a flight of stairs between the entrance and the elevator. Once you are inside this condo, the main level includes the living room, dining room, kitchen, one of the two bathrooms, and one of the Queen bedrooms. The condo has vaulted ceilings in the living room that are 20+ feet high. Stairs lead to the upper level where you’ll find the second bedroom, second bathroom, and the loft area with 2 Twins. Parking is a bit tricky at this building, right now. On site parking is not currently available at this condo complex, but should be by mid December 2024. Guests and residents of the building should be able to pull up to the building, unload bags, groceries, etc, and then go park. The parking lot which previously provided parking to the building has been demolished and is being rebuilt. When completed, the parking will provide 60 spaces for 80 condos. This limited amount of parking may and should be available by mid to late December of 2024, but can not be guaranteed yet, and the property’s pricing reflects that. Street parking is allowed along Ski Time Square Drive. However, since the base area ski slopes, are right across the street, as well as restaurants, activities, and other attractions, Ski Time Square Drive is a popular place to visit. So, the street parking has been limited to 2 hours by the city. **Please note – in the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2024, there is no street parking on Ski Time Square Drive. The road is being resurfaced, and a traffic circle is being added. However, parking is available in the area. From the condo building, just across Ski Time Square Drive and slightly to the left, there is a parking lot owned by the ski area. During the spring/summer/fall of 2024, free parking may or may not be available there. Also, during the spring/summer/fall of 2024, guests of this condo will be able to park at the and parking structure at the corner of Ski Time Square Drive and Mt. Werner Circle, for $8 per day. That lot is within walking distance, about 5 mintues walk. That same lot, during ski season, was $50 per day and for ski season 2024/2025, we expect the rates to be similar or higher. Free parking may be available in other areas of town, with free buses as well as taxis available to get guests back and forth. For example, during ski season of 2023/2024, the Ski Time Square condos HOA worked with the city to secure free parking for its residents and guests, at Emerald Park. That included overnight parking. Emerald Park is 2 miles away and the city’s free bus provides free rides to and from the area via the Red and Blue bus lines and the bus stops at Trafalger Drive and US 40, approximately 0.3 miles from the parking lot. Free overnight parking options may available in other areas. Please contact us with any questions about off site parking options. All that said, we recommend that guests of this development during ski season carpool or don’t rent a car at all. You can easily walk throughout the base area, and free buses to get you around town are frequent. There are also private shuttles available when you head out of town to the hot springs, to snowmobile tours, to guest ranches, etc. For guests in the spring, summer, and fall who might want to be able to drive to remote trailheads, state parks, national forest, or wilderness areas, we recommend carpooling as much as possible.Summary:This condo offers good quality, a nice set of onsite amenities, a great location, and an arrangement of beds that make it comfortable for all sorts of group dynamics. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy – Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.** Video & Noise Monitoring – Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you’ve indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property’s owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit.
