This golf course-oriented villa is just a short walk to some of the best beaches on Hilton Head Island and is situated in the Evian neighborhood of Shipyard with its on-site tennis courts, a beautiful pool, a gazebo, and a picnic area overlooking the lagoon. This home away from home is appointed with all of your needs in mind, including flatscreen cable TV’s in the living area and both bedrooms, a lovely patio with a grill and table seating for cooking out, morning coffee, or an evening cocktail, and a great selection of board games for winding down after a day on the island. The spacious and inviting main level living area, which includes a dining nook and wet bar, is open and inviting, providing ample space to relax or entertain family and friends! The well-equipped kitchen is ready for all of your cooking and entertaining needs. The spacious Master suite with its en suite private bath is complete with a king-sized luxury mattress and ample storage. The cozy second bedroom has 1 plush twin bed and 1 plush full sized bed, cable TV, and access to a second full bath with tub/shower. A queen sleeper sofa is located in the living area near the half bath to complete our sleep- 7 villa. Cozy linens, towels, and starter amenities are included with your stay. The full-sized washer and dryer are neatly tucked into a closet in the upstairs hallway!Beach access at the Shipyard Beach is a 5 minute walk from the villa. One beach parking pass is included, and parking is available on first come first park basis. A parking pass is available for the Shipyard amenities, and the beach has public parking as well.Other Things to Note:BugsWe get asked about Palmetto Bugs all the time. Yes, these are roaches and are found pretty much everywhere outside in South Carolina but we like to call them Palmetto Bugs as it makes them sound nicer! They can be pretty big, can fly and will scurry around the floor but they are largely harmless. They do occasionally come inside, especially at night and during or after any storms. Rest assured all of our homes are professionally treated monthly for pests. Any bugs that manage to get inside will die quickly.According to Eric Benson, Ph.D. professor and extension entomologist at Clemson University “It has nothing to do with cleanliness or the economic conditions of the area,” said Benson. “They could be around the nicest home or the nicest hotel or resort.”If you leave the doors or windows open, especially at night, you will likely see a few. This is perfectly normal. If you see 20 or 30 all in one place then please let us know. This might mean we have a nest somewhere in the home and we’ll need to get pest control out to take care of it. This is extremely rare!Please don’t worry about bugs, enjoy your vacation. You’ll likely not see any while you are here, we just include this note so you understand it’s not unusual to see some and it doesn’t mean the home isn’t well looked after!
