ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!!Good To Know……………The Beardise has a new name, (L’Ours Haus) a new look and is now under new ownership. You will be delighted to come stay at L’Ours Haus. That is French and German for The Bear House. Carrying forward the original theme, but with our own twist. Come see L’Ours Haus with it’s brandy-new kitchen ware, new bathroom and bedroom linens, new furniture, NEW comfy mattresses, new lamps, etc. etc. Freshly brightly painted rooms. New lighting inside and outside. New wall décor. New rugs. NEW – a work of art sure to stir your imagination.Your Greeting Table…………Goodies to enjoy are in your “Welcome” Basket – for you and your 4-legged. Please enjoy. The Welcome Book has copies of ingredients for pups’ treats. Lots of brochures and information on where/when and what to do here in lovely Grand County. Local vendors would love your business. And PLEASE sign our guestbook before you leave!The basket goodies need to be kept in the sealed glass container. Please throw out your wrappers in the Kitchen trash can. No need to tempt critters while no one is home.Come – Enjoy your stay at L’Ours Haus. Our grand re-opening was in May 2023. We have put a lot of needed TLC into our lovely L’Ours Haus. Cozy fireplace (during the cold months) in the living room, make it a perfect place to relax after any activities you decide to do during the day. Board games for you to enjoy with your family and friends. Books to enjoy and read during your stay. DVDs too.Washer and Dryer for your convenience. Plenty of kitchen gadgets and small appliances too.New furniture: Two queen size beds. Antique and New Dressers . Wildlife Themed Spreads and Bathroom Decor. New Linens. New Black-out drapes to be sure that beautiful Moon-light does not prevent you from a good night’s rest. New lighting thru-out. New living room area rug/décor.Please do not let your darlin 4-leggeds on the furniture.For Your Four Leggeds………….A new indoor “Pup Station” just for your critter-kid(s) for their food, water, toys and treats. $25.00/night for one dog. $40/night for 2 dogs. Here we are with Autumn just weeks away. From our deck, listen to the buggling of the Bull Elk, with the many different sounds of the wildlife, as they prepare for the changing of the seasons. Lose yourself in the deep golds of the surrounding aspens and the kaleidoscope of the fall colors. Great photo opportunities for the amateur or the professional too!The views from the living room and deck are spectacular of the continental divide and Lake Granby! Take a cup of your favorite beverage out to the deck and enjoy the sunrise or the moonrise! Chairs and Bench. Outside table and chairs for kiddos too. For your comfort while seated on the deck – new chairs, also featuring an outdoor heating lamp as well for the Winter months. During anytime of the year there is a gas grill for BBQs. Grill should not be left unattended. Please make certain the gas is turned completely off when NOT in use.At night brand new solar lit lanterns on the trail will guide you to the brand new stainless steel firepit for you to enjoy. NO OPEN fire please. Make sure this area is attended by an adult at all times. Completely saturate pit with water when you are finished. Bucket in garage. Hose East side of house.Wildlife abounds and don’t be surprised if you see Fox, Moose, Elk, Osprey, Bald Eagle, Marmots, Deer and little forest creatures of all shapes and sizes running thru the property at anytime!PLEASE take full advantage of those amazing, never-ending views!!!!Convenient to so much…….……..10 minutes from Grand Lake. 15 minutes from Granby Ranch Ski resort. 25-30 minutes to Winter Park Ski resort. If you can trailer your ATVs, SNOWmobiles or Dirtbikes to L’Ours Haus you don’t have to trailer them any further. You can go right down our mountain, take a left and be at Idle Glenn Staging area in less than 2 minutes. This is one the most popular places to ride in CO! Now labelled “The SNOWmobile Capital of Colorado!” Groomed SNOWmobile, SNOWshoe, cross country ski trails, start, virtually at the bottom of our property. Seasonally, the trails are great for plenty of hiking, ATV’s and dirtbikes!L’Ours Haus Address, Information and DirectionsAddress: 169 CR (County Road) 451, Grand Lake, CO 80447L’Ours Haus is located in the Stillwater tracts area. Please take State Hwy Rd 34 to CR 4, (between the horse-elk statues and the “Highway 34 Storage” business.) Go west on CR 4 about two miles. Then take a left onto CR 451. There is a wood post with a bunch of names/signs on it. Follow the 1st white arrow with a Bear Paw on it for L’Ours Haus. Note: This left you take is the last left before you head into the National Forest. If you hit gravel you have gone too far, turn around and then take your first right coming back.Once you turn on CR 451 go a little more than a block to a fork. There is a 2nd white arrow on this post with many other painted signs. Stay right of the fork, passing a driveway. A few feet up the dirt road is the 3rd Bear Paw white arrow sign (w/a sign Surratt) on a wire fence. Turn right. Go up the little bumpy dirt road, about 200 yds. There is a little Bear holding another sign as you come to our driveway. L’Ours Haus is on the right of the cul-de-sac.As you step out on to our property, there you will experience your FIRST MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS. Welcome. “Fuzzy The Bear” is waiting to greet you. Precautions in Grand County, regarding fire dangers and being around wildlife on greeting table. PLEASE STAY INFORMED.Pup fees: 1/dog/night = $25.00/night. 2/dogs/1 night = $40.00/night.
