This cabin will be one you won’t forget anytime soon.***In December 2022, we managed to get Verizon home internet installed at the cabin! In addition to the Verizon home internet, we have a Verizon mobile hotspot as a backup. Wifi overall works great for basic internet browsing and some streaming. However, if multiple devices are constantly running, it may slowdown (this is very common at most places with Wifi in our area).Welcome Guide- One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via email and text message. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions- Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. Since this home is located INSIDE Yosemite National Park, you will NOT NEED a separate entrance reservation, only proof of your lodging reservation (please see official park website for details). We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it’s important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.Kitchen- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.Linens- Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes. Please note: Indoor fireplaces AND outdoor fire pits are NOT allowed during county-wide burn bans, which often occur in the summer and fall months. This is due to heightened fire risk in the area at those times. Outdoor BBQ grills and propane fire pits are allowed year-round. *NOTE: The chimney on this home was damaged in a snowstorm in 2023, so the fireplace is not available for use at this time.Hot Tub- There is no lifeguard on duty for the hot tub. Please use at your own risk. We kindly ask that you shower prior to entering the hot tub.No Pets – Thank you for helping us protect those with pet allergies. There is parking for 4 cars. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit.Early check-in and late checkouts are usually unavailable. This includes luggage and grocery drop-offs. Please kindly plan your grocery shopping/traveling around the 4 PM check-in time (you can check in after that as late as you would like). If you need to check in early or check out late, we strongly recommend booking an additional night on the front end or back end of your stay. This will allow you to check in as early or check out as late as you need. Most homes up here have a 10AM checkout. We do 11AM to give you extra time. Our housekeepers and cleaning inspectors work all over the mountains, and timing is usually tight.Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 10 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is strictly enforced. No having events/weddings/large dinner gatherings/guests over just to visit. This is a local zoning rule that is enforced inside Yosemite National Park. There are no exceptions.Garbage- Garbage truck service is not available in this area. Yosemite Park requires visitors to “pack out” their garbage. There are several free bear proof dumpsters within walking distance of the cabin where you can dispose of your garbage. We have directions inside the welcome binder in the cabin!Security Cameras- There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.Chains- This property is located inside Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 4000 feet. Snow can often be expected from the late fall to the spring. California Highway Patrol and the National Parks Service may require chains and/or 4 wheel drive with snow tires in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions. No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It’s a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!Mail- Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.Calling Us- The phone number on our account does not receive text messages, because it is the number for our office. Please call that number or send us a message if you need any help or have any questions!Neighbors- Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guests information to copyright holder.Simple Checkout Instructions-1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!2. No need to wash any sheets or towels, they’re all professionally serviced off-site.3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful.4. Yosemite National Park requires visitors to “pack out” their garbage. For your convenience, the park has placed several free, bear proof dumpsters in the Wawona area!5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.P.S. Don’t forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving! After booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will also be sent for E-sign to the email on file. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours after you make your booking to finalize your reservation.
