Just a five minute walk across the street and you will be looking down through the trees at the beautiful Half Moon beach. Hike to the knoll and gasp at the amazing view of Gloucester as schooners sail by. Play tennis, bring your kids to the playground, or hike to the top of Tablet Rock. Lay at the beach or dip in the ocean at Cressy or Half Moon beach. Or walk up the hill out the front door to hike at the 60 acre nature preserve, Ravenswood Park. Bikes, paddle boards, surfboards and kayaks are all available at local rental locations. Gloucester Stage company has live plays or the beautiful Shaolin music center has concerts. Gloucester’s downtown has plenty of one of a kind shops and a grand variety of restaurants, cafes and dessert locations.Rainy day – no problem! You can visit the Hammond Castle – just a short drive to see this fascinating building and artifacts.
