Schooner sailing and whale watch boat trips, boogie boarding at Good Harbor beach or exploring tide pools at the calmer Wingaersheek beach. Bikes, paddle boards, surfboards and kayaks are all available at local rental locations. Gloucester Stage company has live plays or the beautiful Shaolin music center has concerts. Gloucester’s downtown has plenty of one of a kind shops and a grand variety of restaurants, cafes and dessert locations.Rainy day – no problem! You can visit the Hammond Castle – just a short drive to see this fascinating building and artifacts. Or visit the Cape Ann Museum with artifacts from the Revolutionary War, beautiful paintings and sculptures new and old. Go antique shopping in Essex or go to the movies at our local theater.
