Off-the-grid, yet just 15 minutes from Colorado Springs urban life, Twin Pines is a charming, enchanting and historic log cabin.Built in the 1890’s on the site of a stage coach rest stop on Old Stage Road, the cabin is an historical landmark on Cheyenne Mountain. Twin Pines is a fusion of 19th century simplicity with 21st century convenience. Step onto the flagstone deck and find yourself amid the sweet, refreshing aroma of towering pines, setting the stage for conversation and laughter while roasting marshmallows around the firepit. Or, step inside and enjoy the 3 bedroom, two bath, cozy living quarters that sleeps 5 comfortably and comes equipped with today’s technology; internet, cell phone service (via WiFi) and Smart TV. While compact, the galley kitchen has all the conveniences of home. In it you will find a full-size refrigerator, washer and dryer, range, dishwasher and garbage disposal.Since this is an off the grid location in a water conservation area, you will be participating in cabin water management with the spring water system. Limit showers to 8-10 minutes. In addition, run the washer and or dishwasher in the evening after showers have been completed.Over a century ago, the stagecoach rest stop was a respite for weary travelers and pleasure seekers. Today, Twin Pines continues to welcome visitors from around the world who seek seclusion and relaxation in the Rocky Mountains. We await your visit!
