Franklin is conveniently located half way between the Mt Desert Island and Schoodic sections of Acadia National Park (apporx 45 minutes to each).Rental includes use of entire A-frame cabin which is next door to owner’s residence and shares a common driveway.Loft sleeping area is accessed via a “ladder style stairway”.Lots of open ground around the cabin for games and relaxing. Shared camp fire pit overlooking lake is great for star gazing on a clear night. Fish, swim or boat in the lake or simply enjoy the views. Fine dining, entertainment, shopping, whale watching, hiking, biking, and site-seeing are only a short distance away.NOTES: Water is not potable. Water is fine for showers, washing dishes, etc. Owners provide 2 gallons of drinking water per guest, per stay. Guests are asked to bring additional bottled, as needed. Fireplace is decorative only.
