Baldhead is 0.5 of a mile away for great hiking and beautiful views, and then perhaps a backside hike down to Oval Beach! The Chain Ferry is nearby as well, 0.7 from the cottage, and will take you across the river into the heart of Saugatuck for great shopping and dining. In the evenings, you’ll want to gather around the fire pit to make s’mores and laugh about times gone by or sit at the table chatting, playing cards, assembling puzzles, or playing board games.Built in 2012, the “Art Coast Cottage” shows near new. The cottage offers all the modern amenities including a fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area are great for meals at home. The dining table is made out of a family shipping crate dating back to 1924 – truly magical! Enjoy a quick breakfast before you go out exploring for all that Saugatuck has to offer or make an entire dinner to eat at home. The living room boasts soaring ceilings and surrounding extra-large windows with beautiful views of the surrounding woods. You will want to sit and visit with your loved ones for hours. The main level has two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower tub combo adding convenience for those who may have a hard time with stairs.
