There are kayaks, paddle boards, beach chairs, and ample parking.Upstairs, there’s a large deck with ample seating and peekaboo views of the ocean, and spectacular sky views at night. It’s the perfect place to listen to the ocean, watch the pelicans fly in formation, star gaze, read, or simply relax.There are stairs on either side of the house, one with an easy incline and a landing halfway up—the other with an electric stair lift available for people with mobility issues familiar with operating the lift. Since there is no repair person on the island, the lift is not guaranteed.The cottage is convenient to the Ocean Crest Pier, The Point, Beach Pantry, grocery stores, gyms, boat launches, shops, dining, Oak Island Golf Course, putt-putt and arcade, sky diving, helicopter rides, Oak Island Lighthouse, and Oak Island’s recreation areas.And, if you need a break from the white sand and pristine water, the cottage is a short 10-15 minute drive to Historic Southport and ferry rides to NC Aquarium, Civil War Museum in Kure Beach, and Bald Head Island.
