Have lunch at the beach, head home to shower off in the rainfall outdoor shower, and then hit up the quaint Main Street boutiques and restaurants a mile away for a little retail therapy. There are over 50 restaurants and 120 locally owned businesses with boutiques that sell everything from Cape jewelry to artisanal chocolates to local artists’ works. Learn about local history at the JFK Hyannis Museum and the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, and dive deeper into the history of African Americans and Cape Verdeans in Cape history. Visit the HyArts Artist Shanties on Ocean Street as you make your way to the harbor to go whale watching, fishing, or take the ferry to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard.
