Description
Welcome to our wonderful family home. It is a classic 3 bed/2 bath on a tree-lined street in downtown Holland, next to Kollen Park and Lake Macatawa. The home gets excellent natural light and offers gorgeous lake + park views from multiple rooms in the house & outside deck. It has just been beautifully renovated on both levels including kitchen, living room, floors, furniture, and appliances. We are easy walking distance to all of downtown + the fantastic 8th St. Farmers Market on Saturdays. The space:There are 3 total bedrooms containing bed sizes of Queen, Queen, and Full, respectively. There is also an extra spare floor mattress for emergency use in a pinch upstairs: it is a twin sized 6-inch memory foam mattress in like-new condition. I have personally slept on the same exact model for 4+ months during a past home renovation and slept very well on it. It is also the highest rated and best selling portable twin mattress on Amazon.com. As it’s also foldable for space-saving needs, all of the above reasons are why we stock that specific model in the home for the twin-sized spare floor mattress. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, as well as a full large bathroom and ample space for bags and personal items. Downstairs there is a library/sitting room, a dining room, a bedroom, a full bathroom, a living room/tv room, a kitchen, and a small pantry. There is also an outside patio deck off of the living room/tv room, with outdoor chairs and a table, plus an enclosed sun porch as well.Guest accessGuests have exclusive access to the whole house.Other things to note1) Our family roots here go back more than 110 years, and we are honored and excited to offer our local knowledge or suggestions of eating and/or craft brewery spots if you wish – please email us if so.2) The upstairs bedroom on the east side of the house is off of Van Raalte Ave. The speed limit on Van Raalte Ave is 35mph, and on 11th St it is 25mph. There is yard and also a sidewalk in between both of those streets and the house, so it’s off the street a bit. We also have double-hung windows which do an add’l job of reducing noise too. That said, light sleepers have occasionally noted in guest feedback that they feel this east bedroom facing Van Raalte Ave gets a moderate amount of street vehicle noise in the mornings. Please be aware that in general, in downtown Holland especially during summer time peak vacation season, there are vehicles traveling on city streets during both days and evenings. Our location is not what we feel is a loud or an unusual street noise level for a downtown Holland home, but we thought we would/should just note some details on streets and location (i.e. this is in a downtown Holland neighborhood) here for guests to be aware of.3) The TV is currently located in what used to be the main living room. That room is now adjacent to the new larger living room/sitting room (wall knocked out to expand the views of the park and lake). The TV is still viewable, but at a sharper angle than before. We have an installation appt scheduled to re-mount the TV onto a full-swivel wall mount that will enable the TV to be viewed at a better/more direct angle from the new central living room location; in the mean-time guests are welcome to move the loveseats or chairs over a few feet if desired (Please do not drag the sofas across the hardwood floor though! Please make sure to pickup any furniture that’s being moved). Thank you.If needed, our rental certificate number with the City of Holland is: CSTR 18110
