Winter update: Hello everyone! During the winter, weather can be unpredictable in the mountains and roads and the driveway can be difficult for some cars to navigate in snow and ice. We STRONGLY recommend a 4×4 or awd vehicle for bookings during the winter months. If there are major winter storms, you may have to cancel and rebook.Moonshine Lake is a big unique and beautiful property nestled in the foothills of the massanutten mountains and fronts upon a natural mountain lake. You will have solitude, peace, and incredible star gazing from the field or deck. Relax next to the fire pit or relax in the hammock. The property is located minutes from tubing and kayaking adventures less than 30 minutes from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park, and 20 minutes from luray, with its breweries, dining, and movie theater. The house is a classic cabin with room for up to 10 guests. It has all of the amenities you expect including central hvac, high speed satillite wifi, washer/dryer and a dishwasher.What I love about this place is sitting on the deck in the morning and watching the deer and rabbits in the front yard, and listening to the song birds. A close second is the stargazing.Please be aware that you may hear some noises.
