The 7500 square foot modern oasis is located on the infamous Mulholland Drive and sits on over two acres of secluded land behind double gates. It is the perfect celebrity enclave as there is absolute privacy.The fourteen feet deep pool (with an underwater viewing room) has great Hollywood history and was designed by the renowned pool architect, Philip Ilsley. In later years, Russ Meyer shot films in the pool and many famous musicians (The Stones, Bonnie name a few…) stayed and recorded on the estate. The outside creates a sense of being at a resort with its lush tropical landscaping and dramatic pool. There is a full outdoor bar (with heaters if it gets chilly at night) which also functions as a complete outdoor kitchen.There are many different areas for lounging around the pool to choose from. While one section has an enormous fire pit, another area feels like an outdoor living room with a wood burning fireplace and 60 inch TV. The speaker system allows music to play throughout the property with impeccable sound. Two bathrooms are located outside so you never have to be more than ten feet from the pool. And, if you have kids and they get sick of swimming, they can go climb through the outdoor treehouses; use the playground or craft in the art cabin.The main floor (which overlooks the pool) boasts a massive living room with 25 feet ceilings. The sliding doors open up and give a true sense of indoor-outdoor living. Music can be played throughout the home via Sonos on an incredible sound system. There is a ten person dining room and chef’s kitchen also located on the main floor. The kitchen has every amenity one can think of and the 10 person dining room is great for leisurely dinners. And if you prefer to eat al fresco, there is a 10 person table outside off the kitchen as well as an 8 seat round table on the deck off the living room which showcases the fantastic view of the city. There is a state of the art screening room with DLP surround sound for first-run movies and is part of the Bel Air Circuit (There is even an actual soda machine like you are at the movies!). Additionally, there is a playroom, office and bedroom (king size bed).The second floor has a cozy den for television watching; 3 more bedrooms (king, queen, and 2 twin beds respectively). The laundry room is also located on the second floor as well as a small yard with a garden and a sandbox.The master suite on the top floor has yet another inviting den to watch television in or build a fire. There is a wrap around deck that is perfect watching the nighttime city lights or having a morning cup of coffee and reading the paper. While soaking in the tub, you have an incredible view of the city with utter privacy or if you prefer, you can watch TV or listen to music through the bathroom speakers. The travertine steam shower (equipped with a sound system) also reveals this breathtaking view. Additionally, there are double sinks and two toilets. The walk in wrap around closet can handle any wardrobe. The master suite also has a gym equipped with a peloton bike, weights, nautilus machines and there is a small private outdoor patio which is perfect for early morning yoga.For weekend visitors, there is also a guest house on the property with an insane view that will blow your guests away.This compound is fantastic for entertaining or getting away from it all. There is really nothing quite like this home and you will probably never want to leave.
