Unique shops & restaurants line the streets modeled after a quaint German village. In the summer, people come from everywhere to tube the Chattahoochee River, visit Georgia’s award winning local wineries, boat on Lake Chatuge, hike Ana Ruby Falls, or many other activities nearby. In the fall, they come for the great Oktoberfest, and in the winter, it’s commonly ranked the top Christmas town in Georgia with entire town adorning Christmas lights. While we feel that this property is unlike any other you’ll find, other small details set us apart from other properties.Let’s talk cleaning…At Bison Lodge, we launder all the linens, INCLUDING BED BLANKETS, every single time we change over guests. We’ve been told by our cleaners that we are the only property that wash bed quilts every time there’s a new guest. And our cleaners clean dozens and dozens of other properties. We use a commercial laundry service that specializes in resort properties. They use exceptionally hot water to make sure your linens are beautiful, soft, and most importantly very clean. We also use high quality Alen air purifiers that take dust & other particles out of the air. If you’re breathing in fresh mountain air outside, shouldn’t you have the best air quality inside?Bison View Lodge has a seasonal walking trail that leads you to a babbling mountain creek. The entire property is fenced and gated. The neighbors you ask? Well that would be hundreds of acres of untouched US Forest. We do have a neighboring cabin about 1/2 mile from us, quiet hours starting at 10 to be respectful.Oh, and don’t forget we have a helipad! So if you really want to kick your trip up a notch consider renting a helicopter. Most people use the helipad for some mean pickleball matches! We have a portable pickleball net and paddles available in the deck box on the helipad.Things to do:We feel we have the best location in North Georgia. Just 15 minutes to Georgia’s #1 visited resort town – the Alpine Village known as Helen. Tube the “Hooch” as they say or eat some great food in town. There’s even a roller coaster in Helen. Helen is also home to a genuine Alpine Octoberfest from September to November. If you want something a little more sophisticated consider a Georgia Winery tour along Georgia’s Winery Highway.Rent a boat, jet ski, or kayak on Lake Chatuge, just a 35 minute drive from the lodge. The waterfalls in this part of Georgia are some of the nation’s best and you don’t want to miss Ana Ruby Falls. There are numerous other waterfalls to find in this area as well.If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can find the Appalachian Trail crossing on the very mountain this property sits on.Bring your ATV and explore many of the area’s off-road adventures.Whatever you need for your family reunion, corporate retreat, church retreat, or other celebration, we’ve got you covered at Bison View Lodge.ROAD DISCLOSURE: All roads leading to the cabin are paved with the exception of the last 2.9 miles. You will travel a gravel road maintained by the US Forestry Service. When traveling this road, you may encounter potholes and ruts from mountain water runoff. We have observed standard passenger cars on the gravel road, but in accordance with the US Forestry Service, Bison View Lodge LLC recommends that only trucks and higher clearance vehicles (SUV’s for example) travel the road. Interestingly enough, there were once bison on this property, thus the name. Newly redecorated in 2022, this exclusive property is the crown jewel of the North Georgia Mountains for company retreats, family reunions, ministry/non profit events, and micro wedding weekends. Our newly installed pickleball courts (coming in June 2024) will make every event so much fun!Boasting 15 Bedrooms, 13.5 bathrooms plus 3 flexible meeting and/or sleeping spaces inside 15 gated and fenced acres on North Georgia’s Tray Mountain – 20 minutes from Helen, GA.
