Description
Late 1800’s boathouse situated on 2+ acres on 325′ of beautiful waterfront property. Our property is located on the northern end of Lake George with a beautiful view looking south. You’ll be situated on 2 acres of prime waterfront property with 325′ ft of shoreline to enjoy. There are 2 homes on this unique property which is like none other. The boathouse has a 120′ dock, plenty of room to swim, sunbath, and enjoy all water activities. The Boat House (2nd home) IS THE ONLY HOME AVAILABLE FOR THE 2021 season.Located directly over the water, this is a truly one of a kind experience. This is a 100 + year old, former butler’s quarter that has been turned into another home for our family. It’s quaint and rustic with the old charm associated with life in a different era. Staying here is like living in a camp from your childhood.Upstairs consists of one bedroom (queen size bed), a kitchen, and dining area, and a living room with a daybed with trundle and a bathroom with shower.Downstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The bathroom is located in the first bedroom which has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has two bunk beds featuring a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top. We do limit the number of occupants to ten as not to overtax the septic.Downstairs has direct access to the dock. But no matter where you sleep you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. The dock is shared with another family in the Big house. It has two sides and extends out for over 100 feet from the shoreline. One side is about 20 feet wide and the other about 8 feet. This allows for plenty of room for your family and friends. There is lots of room for mooring boats and sunbathing. The water is clear and pure and some of the best swimming in Lake George is right off the dock with a lovely sandy bottom. It’s ideal for children with a gradual increase in depth from about 3 feet deep to about 6 feet at the deep end of the dock. You’ll be sure to have a memorable vacation when you stay at our beautiful home on the northern peaceful and residential end of Lake George. The Big/main House (1st home) NOT AVAILABLE 2021. It is already rented for the 2021 season. The Big/main house has been used by the family for the past 60 years. Originally built and finished in 1947, it was one of the first “modern architectural designs” on the northern end of Lake George. This sprawling ranch home is sitting on a terrace about 30 feet above the water with spectacular views due South. The clear blue waters of Lake George, Heart Bay, Rogers Rock and Anthony’s Nose are all visible and many hours have been spent enjoying the views. At night the clear uncluttered skies provide exceptional views of the stars, the moon and constellations. The house was originally built as a large two bedroom summer home with one and a half baths . An addition adds another 2 bedrooms and full bath and partially furnished unfinished basement for overflow guests. The large kitchen, dining room and living room make for great entertaining or a family gathering place. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a full and a twin bed.The addition wing consists of 2 bedrooms, a full bath, family room and kitchenette and partial furnished walkout basement. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second has two twins. This allows for a wonderful set up for very large family gatherings or multi generation use (sleeps up to 13 including walkout basement). The outside is where the families spend most of the daylight hours. A huge (16x 30) flagstone patio has been added on to the original porch. There is ample room for dinner parties, cocktail parties or just sunning and lounging.
