Description
The Villa de Balboa experience is created by us for you. We know you will have a delightful stay at a home and neighborhood that is truly unique for San Francisco. We totally remodeled and upgraded everything since we last hosted so the past great reviews should be even better moving forward. Our experience working and visiting high-end resorts and restaurants has inspired the attention to detail.WAKE HEREThe home gracefully welcomes the sun so you do not need to turn on lights in the morning. Make a cup of tea with the German glass kettle or choose a variety of coffees, including decaffeinated, from the Nespresso Vertuo. I have a lot of coffee pods for your stay and 4 pods a day are included. Use the borosilicate glass mugs and look out into the park and watch people walking their dogs, taking their kids to school, and jogging.COOK HEREThe kitchen is setup for cooking all meals. Make a smoothie with the Ninja blender or whip up some eggs and bacon on the gas stove that is below one of the skylights. When you cook under natural light you will get a little spoiled. The new GE refrigerator has an ice maker and water purifier. There is another new (2022) water purifier built into the sink. Metal bowls, strainer, cooking knives, a bamboo cutting board, toaster oven, rice cooker, pots, pans, and utensils will make you feel at home.WORK HEREI have created a dedicated workspace with an amazing view of Balboa Park. The designer desk and chair will allow for extended work days if you need to work. The dining room table can also be used for working and also provides a great view of the park. There are outlets and powerstrips with USB inputs around the sofa for charging devices while you relax.PLAY HEREI have a lot of things for you to use that you can’t get at a hotel:• Backpack for groceries or hikes• Ice Chest for picnics• Portable chess set• Picnic blanket• Very good tennis racquets• Tennis balls (new)• Pickleball paddles and balls• Soccer ball (Champions league edition)• Cones to make boundaries• Basketball and pump• FrisbeeHave fun and enjoy the park. Look up “Spotery” to book a tennis court or pickleball court. Book courts a week in advance at 8am or noon the day before for an hour. Also call the Lisa & Douglas Goldman Tennis Center to book a court at Golden Gate Park. It’s a new facility that is gorgeous and 15 minutes by car or Lyft/Uber. Louis Sutter Park has 6 dedicated pickleball courts and that is 10 minutes away. If you want to swim, the lap swim times are posted on the Park & Rec website for Balboa Park Swimming Pool.LIVE HEREMi casa es su casa. You have total privacy here and want you to feel like this is your home and you can kick back and get energized for the next adventure. You have access to the TV’s, ROKU, Netflix, Amazon, news, music, etc. This house stays warm naturally but if you need to heat it up the Nest thermostat will make the home toast in seconds. If it heats up, then the windows will create a cross breeze that is generated from the park and is quite lovely if you want some fresh air.The bathroom has a new smart toilet with bidet (wish and dry) plus the new 100% Hygro Cotton towels are really soft.SLEEP HEREThe beds and pillows are new (2023) memory foam mattresses. The white 800 thread count cotton sheets are industrial washed also replaced after 10 stays.EXERCISE HEREBalboa Park has 4 newly resurfaced tennis courts, a massive playpark for kids, a new skatepark, baseball fields, soccer fields, and new basketball courts. The olympic size swimming pool is 40 steps from the front door.EXPLORE HEREThis neighborhood is 10 minutes away from Mission street where you can go to legendary bars and hangouts. Find the wine bars, a brew pub with live music, a ton of restaurants to choose from. The “Deep Mission” has the more exotic Central and South American faire. Glen Park is also walking distance and one of the coolest sunken parks in the state.
