Our Beautiful Casa Retreat Home is an excellent place to spend your Peaceful Mountain Getaway and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The living room has an expansive view of the San Luis Valley and a walk in any direction opens up even more of the incredible landscape while breathing in the quiet of The Baca. The night skies are Amazing! Take some sacred & silent time in the surrounding landscape and forest where you will come across sacred circles, meditation stones, and even teepee poles placed with ceremonial care for those who will venture in. Everything you see and come across has been placed with respect, intention, and ceremony. You are invited and welcome to leave your own prayerful & natural offering… as we respectfully ask that all you see there, be left as it is, with Gratitude and Respect, Namaste!Crestone is home to over 21 spiritual centers, offering insight and teachings to many different world religions. Creekside nature trails, starry nights at Sand Dunes National Park, and nature photography out the back door, makes this an excellent place to expand our connect to nature and explore spirituality. Our Home continues to be a Retreat of Silent meditation, a creative space for writers & contemplatives, and a welcome haven to those who lecture and teach online. Our adobe style home has two bedrooms, one featuring a queen bed and half bathroom with views of mountain peaks. The second bedroom has 2 large workstations equipped with two desks, a full murphy bed, and a walk out patio which wraps around to the front of the house. The home has views out of every window, a large kitchen with bar seating, and a lovely dining room table for entertaining, as you enjoy your own home cooked meals. The living area is open and full of natural light with a cozy couch and chairs for enjoying the beautiful sunsets and starry night skies. Enjoy sunset BQ dinner on the outdoor patio with outdoor seating in both the shade and the sun. This is a second home for the owners, who are working artists. Their unique art can be found hanging around the Casa. *Simple Breakfast Included on arrival*At the Casa Retreat we provide a very simple breakfast so you can get out and enjoy Crestone when you arrive. We provide coffee, a simple selection of tea, oatmeal English muffins and eggs for a quick and nourishing meal.The Casa Retreat is an excellent option for guests looking for an extended stay, this home is loaded with amenities including laundry facilities, a full bathroom with soaking tub, good WIFI connection and oversized workspace. Enjoying the outdoors is easy with the multiple outdoor seating and dining areas, BBQ grill and Hammock, neighborhood walks and hiking trails close by.The kitchen is simple and spacious loaded with everything you need for a short or extended stay. The house has a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and oven with cookware and bakeware for your stay. There are many local hiking trails nearby the cabin, some folks suggest the North Crestone Trailhead, Willow Lake is a great day hike, and the Creekside trails along the greenbelts in the Baca Grande Subdivision are spectacular and lush. The Casa Retreat is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.Crestone Colorado is in the middle of the San Luis Valley. There is very limited public transportation in the area. We recommend Four Wheel Drive, or at least- All Wheel Drive if you are looking to come and stay during the Winter Season.A High Elevation Experience Like No OtherCrestone Colorado is a unique and diverse high desert mountain town in South Central Colorado. We love our local thrift stores, so many hidden treasures can be found!Wildlife and Outdoor RecreationCrestone is situated at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, boasting several fourteen-thousand-foot peaks and pristine alpine lakes for outdoor hiking, camping and fishing. The wildlife refuges and protected forests create incredible opportunities to come close to nature and truly experience the wildlife. Great for bird watching, photography, art, hiking, biking and camping.
