With 5 bedrooms, each with its own private bath, 2 living and 2 dining areas, guests have plenty of room to spread out and have privacy if they wish. A favorite spot for all, is the expansive stone patio with a large wood burning fireplace (with gas starter). A generous seating area with upscale patio furniture makes this outdoor living space ideal for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine, or gathering friends around the fireplace for cocktails.Guests may choose to play golf at Quail Lodge, or grab a cocktail in the ever popular Edgar’s restaurant and sports bar. ( within walking distance) If they like, they may take advantage of The Refuge, a renowned, co-ed, hydrothermal relaxation spa. Rated Carmel’s no. 1 spa by Trip Advisor, The Refuge is a short 5 min. walk away and offers a cedar sauna, eucalyptus steam room, and multiple hot and cold plunge pools to relax and rejuvenate! They also offer aromatherapy, deep tissue and sport massage.For those that enjoy hiking, Garland Ranch is a beautiful place to hike and take a picnic lunch and is a short 10 minute drive. The spectacular Big Sur Coast line is a 40 minute drive South, where you can enjoy a walk in the amazing Redwoods, lunch at Ventana or Nepenthe or visit the Post Ranch Inn. The home is about 20 minutes by car to the elite wineries of Carmel Valley Village, the unique Victorians in Pacific Grove, Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium. The San Jose airport is a 1.5 hour drive and Monterey Airport is 15 minutes.Passing through beautifully carved antique french doors guests will enter the home on the upper level which is the main living area. Off the entryway is a separate bar with a wine/beverage refrigerator. Large windows take advantage of the view looking out towards the golf course through a forest of live oaks and provide a relaxing backdrop for the living room. The seating area is large and open and centered around a wood burning fireplace (gas starter) with marble surround. The formal dining area seats 8, with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto the outdoor living area.For those that enjoy cooking, gather your friends or family in this large, fully equipped kitchen with a built -in Kitchen Aid refrigerator, a Wolf electric cook top, double ovens, and a separate ice maker. A breakfast nook with views of the outdoor patio is the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning.Also included on the main level is the library and two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen sized bed, beautiful views, a large bathroom with double sinks, dressing area, bath tub and separate shower. It joins the library which includes a wide variety of books, wood burning fireplace (with gas starter) and TV. The perfect place to watch TV and cozy up to the fire on chilly evenings. Please note, the upstairs primary bedroom does not have a TV in the bedroom but has one in the adjoining library. The other bedroom on this level has a queen bed, en suite bath with a shower, and patio access. The laundry room has a full sized washer and dryer and is located in the primary bedroom area.Downstairs are two large bedrooms each with an en suite bath. The larger room has two queen size beds, a shower, large dressing area with walk-in closet. The other bedroom has a king size bed, walk-in closet, jetted tub/ shower combo, and a TV. Both have patio access.All beds are made with luxury linens.Also located downstairs, is the Hummingbird Cottage. The Cottage has its own private entrance, and boasts a mini kitchen that includes a sink, small refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, as well as a Nespresso coffee maker and coffee pods. There is a king size bed as well as an en suite marble bath area with a large walk-in shower, and TV. This is everyone’s favorite guest room and a great place to watch the wildlife.* Please note: There is currently construction across the street through August* Maid service is available upon request for a separate fee of $250 per visit and is required once a week for stays over 7 days.* In house massage may be arranged upon availability* Prior to arrival, we are happy to offer to stock any grocery/liquor items upon request.Please note there is a $50 additional trip charge in addition to the cost of the items requested.*Please let us know if you have any special requests or if we can help with dinner reservations, private transportation, etc. prior to your arrival.
