Charming Antique In Wellfleet Center– walk to shops, beach!This lovely in-town historic 1830 Cape– a bookstore in a former life– is located adjacent to shops and restaurants of Wellfleet, and less than a mile to Harbor and Bay beaches.The house has been thoroughly renovated, while respecting it’s funky, antique spirit. The home is also winterized, and very cozy in all seasons. New screened side porch for bug-free summer evenings.I ask guests to air out home with open windows and fans, and to leave home in good order, so my maids can focus on a thorough scrubbing between guests. I hope to keep my home as safe and clean as possible, an oasis where my guests can relax.You will love parking the car and strolling everywhere– the grocery store, the produce stand, the farmer’s market, the library, the flower shop, the ice cream parlor, and all the shops and galleries of Wellfleet’s town center.A formal front entryway leads to a huge, sunny double living room, featuring a wood-burning stove, an old hi-fi with many classical and world music albums, and a smart TV. The living room leads to a semi-open formal dining room beyond, which in turn opens to the renovated kitchen– fully equipped for serious cooks.Both the kitchen and formal dining room have doors leading out to a gorgeous wrap-around deck, now partly screened, and a secluded garden full of flowers, herbs, and vegetables. An outdoor shower & clawfoot tub are great for post beach rinsing! Enjoy picking fresh herbs and greens for dinner. Propane grill and charcoal grill provided.Also on the first floor, there is a twin bedroom with full bath (shower) and a stackable washer/dryer in the closet.The second floor has one CA King and one Queen bedroom, CA King in primary BR overlooking the nature preserve across the street, and Queen overlooking the rear garden. Off the shared landing is a second full bathroom with tub.On the third floor is a large attic bedroom with a Queen bed and its own smart TV– great for kids.Note: the stairs here are *very* steep– and nearly ladder-like between second and third floors.Both the living room and third floor bedroom have smart TV’s. Bring your Hulu or Amazon (or other) account. Free internet access provided. Parking for 3 cars. Maximum of 6 guests please.Normally Saturday arrivals/departures during summer months.
