Walk inside to the living room. The living room has a cozy wood burning fireplace that then flows into the dining room and renovated kitchen. In addition to a newly renovated bathroom with shower, there is an outdoor shower with one of the best views on the property. The four bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor. The master bedroom has a beautiful private balcony overlooking the East Penobscot Bay–perfect for morning coffee or stargazing.Gull Point provides complete privacy. The house sits on 10 acres, at end of long driveway. (A distant log cabin on property will be vacant during your stay for your privacy). Fields of raspberries, blackberries and ferns descend to edge of bluff with trails for easy picking while enjoying island views.Gull Point is the great starting point for kayaking into the Penobscot Bay. Reach the beach by new stairs. The beach has nice access for swimming. The Private Beach is great for swimming, hunting tide pools, sunbathing. while looking out on the islands of East Penobscot Bay (Little Spruce Head and Compass directly east). Lobster boats and sail boats can be seen in the distance.The cottage is a 20 minute walk (1.2 miles) to Pendleton Point Beach on the southern tip of the island. It is a nice spot for a barbecue or family adventures.
