Charming Country Guest Home w Firepit – Close to Hopewell Boro & Diamond NationWhether you’re visiting family, in town for business, attending a baseball tournament at Diamond Nation, having a romantic getaway or a fun girls weekend, experience the magic of Sourland Mountain at The 1890 at Huntland Farm.This 1,500-square-foot guesthouse is situated on 19 mostly wooded, bucolic acres on Sourland Mountain and sits adjacent to the main home on the property. It’s the perfect stay for one person or up to six.Located at the end of a country road, but just a mile to Hopewell Boro and 9 miles to Princeton, this charming and well-appointed 3-bedroom guest home provides a tranquil retreat. Surrounded by nature’s beauty guests can unwind after a day of fun activities or corporate endeavors.Enjoy the serenity of a bygone era as you walk onto the charming rocking chair front porch. Upon entering the home (keyless entry) you’ll find a comfortable dining room with seating for six. It’s the perfect place to share a meal with family or friends and play games late into the night. A quaint bar cabinet provides a space to set up coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening. In the adjacent family room, you’ll find a comfortable sectional and wood-burning stove. Firewood is available outside during your stay. With walls flanked with original rough-sewn wood and nails, this room exudes character. The well-appointed farmhouse kitchen is in the rear of the home and overlooks the forest. Fully stocked with all the necessary accouterments to make a gourmet meal with your local, organic farmer’s market-procured produce, cooking is most enjoyable in this space. The first floor also has a powder room and a laundry room with a rear entrance to the home.Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms each having a television with WIFI streaming. There’s also a full bathroom with a shower. Bedroom one is the largest and has a king-size bed. Here you can retreat through sliding glass doors to the quaint balcony overlooking trickling brooks and the forest. The sun rises behind the home making morning coffee in this spot extra special. Bedroom two has a lower ceiling height typical in historic homes. This comfortable room has a queen-sized bed and a desk for remote work. Cozy and warm describe the third bedroom. It has two twin beds and lower ceiling heights as it was part of the original home as well. This room is the smallest and has no dresser or closet.In the backyard, you can gaze upon the constellations while seated around the locally sourced Sourland Mountain stone firepit in any season. Firewood is provided. The property is also connected to the Hopewell Sourland hiking trail which you can take to town.Guests rave about how clean and well stocked the home is. It’s close to many local corporations, including BMS, BeiGene, Dow Jones, Zydus, Capital Health, Bank of America, ETS & Jansen.Please note, there is a Ring doorbell camera next to the front door that records video and sound for security purposes.
