Laughing Pony Ranch is hands down one of the most special places I’ve been fortunate to stay. I didn’t know what to expect, but upon arriving Celia greeted my family warmly. She had Country Western music playing on the Alexa, showed us the Wifi Router, and even had some welcoming cereals and snacks. The space is well equipped for all your needs, plenty of storage, appliances, and more, although I ventured 20 minutes to the beach each day. At night I came back to an extra-large king bed with a comfortable pillow top. On two mornings I was signed up to volunteer with the horses.What Celia does is incredible. There need to be more people like her in this world! Since the horses are sensitive to their abused pasts, I was offered visiting hours to take my daughter around. There are over 17 animals on the ranch, and if you’re interested enough, Celia will share as much information and education with you about the rescue efforts made to save these beautiful creatures’ lives. The unit is lovely, and basically a one-bedroom apartment-style attachment with a luxurious king-bed, giant bathroom and hot shower. There is a full kitchen, daybed/sofa, and even a desk to work from home, etc… Celia is an amazing host and will help accommodate your needs as best she can. If you grew up in the suburbs or the city, there is nothing like waking up to the raw sights/sounds/smell of nature to get you back into balance! I cannot recommend this stay enough, and remember, that staying here is not only a fun, peaceful experience, but a direct contribution to the beautiful work of saving horses from torture and abuse, so, it’s a win-win!
