Description
This house is built on property originally owned by John Rockefeller Jr, the benefactor of much of Acadia National Park! It is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Bar Harbor, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle so that you can see the milky way streaming overhead on a clear night. You can leave the front door, and in less than half a mile be walking on a trail in Acadia National Park, or, if you are up for exploration, walk straight into the backyard and you’ll be in the national park! After you spend a day hiking, biking, or exploring, you’ll feel at home in our ranch style house. The kitchen has updated appliances and ample cabinet and refrigerator space. All of the utensils and kitchen tools that you will need to cook up a fresh Maine lobster or a nice Maine blueberrry pie are provided, as well. The house has a large shared dining/living room, with a beautiful granite fireplace along one wall. Lots of natural light enters the room from large bay windows in both the front and the back of the house. Both bedrooms are large, and have plenty of closet space. The beds are comfy, and lots of books and other reading materials will help you gain a greater appreciation for the beautiful area that we live in. A final room, which we typically call our “yoga room,” can easily accommodate the futon that can sleep an additional two guests.
