Built circa 1872, Abendruh Cottage is a quintessential, historic Bar Harbor summer home, and one of Bar Harbor’s first summer cottages. There are hardwood floors throughout, lovely antiques, unique windows, four access entries, and plenty of outdoor seating for relaxing and dining.The first floor of this airy, spacious cottage features a living room, a sitting room with gas fireplace, a study (with a sleep futon), a glorious formal dining room (seats 10), a large, modern chef’s kitchen, kitchen table area with a farm table and gas fireplace, separate laundry room, and a 1/2 bathroom. There is also a lovely deck right off the kitchen, where the gas grill is located.The second floor features a huge master king bedroom (with a twin daybed as well) and full bathroom (with small claw-foot tub and walk-in tiled shower). A large hall connects the queen bedroom, two single bedrooms, and another full bath with a long, old-fashioned bathtub. The back hallway leads to a bedroom with twin beds, another with a double bed, large back bathroom, (with tub and shower), and back stairs leading down to the laundry room/kitchen.Amenities include internet TV (in study), DVD player, WIFI, dishwasher, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, two gas fireplaces, gas BBQ, and parking for up to 5 cars.Experience the summer cottage life… take a walk down the iconic and historic Shore Path each morning, sit on a bench in Grant’s Park, breathe in the salt air and take in the extraordinary view.
