It is motion activated with ABSOLUTELY NO AUDIO present and NO VIEW WHATSOEVER of the inside the house. Due to the nature of how the front door is constructed it would be picking up motion and be activating all the time if positioned outside.I would never want my privacy invaded when renting a home and would never invade my renters privacy.
