This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is perfect for your family’s getaway. Located right on Portage Lake. This lake is great for skiing, jet-skiing, swimming, tubing, canoe/kayaking. Nice sandy bottom for any lake activity. Also, great for fishing. Large living room with beautiful views of the lake, along with a nice electric fireplace. Very cozy kitchen with all the amenities. Very large deck to enjoy the outdoors anytime of the year. Steps to the water right from the deck. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with views of the lake to greet you in the morning. Second bedroom has a bunk bed system. Top bunk is a single; bottom bunk is a full size bed. Living room couch pulls out to a full size bed also. Full size bathroom with tub and shower. Full refrigerator and gas oven along with a microwave. Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking, serving, utensils items that you may need. BBQ grill on deck (spring/summer/fall months only). Washer and dryer available on request. Nature/Bike trail steps away from the front door. This trail will bring you right into Houghton or into Chassell. Access to the snowmobile trail system. Minutes from MTU Campus; popular restaurants; downtown Houghton; Mt Ripley is only 8 miles away; Mt Bohemia is 45 minutes.
