Cozy Guest Suite for a Quiet Country Getaway

It is a walk out basement apartment that is located under our main residence. There is no accessibility between the main house and the suite. We are located in a country setting, but just minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea or Monterey. The home is in a very quiet, peaceful, rural setting. Enjoy the fresh air, and the sunlight through the beautiful oaks.We are in a country/rural setting, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you found the right place! Parking is through a gate, as you can see in the photos. The gate is opened and closed manually. You must be able t0o push a pull and heavy gate.. Also, parking is in a dirt area, with a short walk up a small slope to the guest suite, also shown in the photos.There is no TV in the suite, but you will be provided with the WiFi password.It is a small space at 270 sq. ft., but offers a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, hot plate, coffee maker, and microwave. Coffee and tea are provided. The kitchen is not set up to do much cooking at all. Everything is very small, and does not accommodate cooking more than a very small meal, or heating restaurant left overs. The bathroom is also very small, as you could imagine in a 270 sq ft room. Think small RV bathroom. Please be ok with a very small bathroom before deciding to book.As stated before, we are in the country, and no matter how hard we try, there are always spiders and bugs around. If you are bothered by them, this probably isn’t your place. We often have daddy long legs, along with other spiders, and located next to a horse property, so flies are around sometimes as well. I always take them outside when I see them, but they find a way back in. If bugs bother you at all, I completely understand, but this probably isn’t the spot for you. You may also see turkey, deer, bobcat, or dogs wandering around outside.I on-site a little less than 50% of the time. If you have any special requests that I may be able to accommodate, let me know prior to your stay.Please do not access the gates of the adjoining estate, or enter the gates of any of the surrounding estates.I am typically not on property and not able to fulfill immediate requests. If you have any questions or special requests before your stay, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate, or let you know if I cannot.I just want to stress that we are in a quiet, rural setting. There is no paved parking, and you must be able to open and close a heavy sliding gate to access the property.The suite is under the main residence, so it is possible to hear footsteps or activity from above at times. There is also an outdoor area to the main house close, so you may also notice noise there from time to time.
