Cozy Haven: A Lakeside Cottage Near Acadia

Cozy Haven is a new year-round private cottage built in 2020, situated among evergreens just 100 feet from the Toddy Pond shore with 242 feet of frontage. It’s just 7/10 of a mile off Rte. 1, heading to Bar Harbor. Enjoy cooking fresh Maine lobster and blueberry pie in a full kitchen, or grill in the open air on a gas grill. The living room is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of adventure in Acadia or kayaking right on the pond, while you watch your favorite program on a 55″ 4K flat screen TV while streaming Sling TV. Rest comfortably upstairs on a king-sized bed in the master bedroom or a double/twin bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom, or a queen-sized sofa bed in the family room. There is a full bath with shower located upstairs and a half bath downstairs.Listening to the loon calls and watching the sunset on the lake from the dock or in the new screened in deck area, gives a sense of tranquility any time of day. Parking for 2 vehicles is available for each cottage.Guests for our 3Havens all share private access to the dock and swim platform. We recommend that guests use water shoes while wading in the lake. Each unit has its own fire pit area and free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe (a waiver of liability must be signed for usage). We provide approved life-preservers in the bin by the kayaks. Wood for the fire pits may be purchased at Hannaford Supermarket or various roadside stands. Prices run from $5-7 per bundle. The dock goes in the lake the 2-3rd week of May and is removed the 1st week of November.We like to leave our guests to themselves but try to be available when needed. However, should you need us for anything, we live on the same property as the cottages. Our other 2 vacation rentals are: Toddy Haven, a brand new first floor apartment furnished with a full kitchen, 1 full bath, sleeping up to 5; and Rocky Haven, a home away from home comes with washer, dryer, and includes a dishwasher, and sleeps up to 8.
