Description
Discover the quiet and Downeast charm found in the quaint village of Bernard, a small working village near Bass Harbor which is home to some of Mt. Desert Island’s favorite destinations. Thurston’s Lobster Pound and sweet little “Back Beach” are both within walking distance to this home, set off the main road, in a quiet semi-wooded setting at the end of a short lane with few neighboring properties. Small, recently updated, newly furnished for 2022, and ready for your visit, little Wicker Way Cottage is a great find for your Acadia adventure!FIRST FLOOR: Entry leads into a small mudroom for outdoor gear and shoes. Kitchen with table that seats 4 to 5 comfortably is positioned next to a sunny window for the morning sun. Living Room with flat-screen Smart TV leads into a Bedroom with Queen bed. Full Bath with combined tub and shower also includes a laundry area and has two entrances, one from the Master Bedroom, and one from the main Living Area. Living Area also features a heat pump that serves as an AC unit sufficient to cool the main living area. Window fans are available for the second floor and master bedroom for where the heat pump might struggle to reach.SECOND FLOOR: A narrow staircase leads to an open Bedroom with two sleeping areas tucked under the eaves. One side features a double bed, and the other features a single bed. For young children, a child safety gate is available to close off the top of the stairs if desired.OUTDOOR SPACES: Deck tucked off the back of the house offering privacy from neighboring properties with gas grill, outdoor seating, and dining area. Fire pit area is located next to the house above a granite outcropping. Yard and woods surround the back of the house and is safe for play.
