Very nice 1 BR/ 1 BA rental in the well-established retirement community of Green Valley AZ. Green Valley is rated as one of the top 10 retirement communities for active adults in the United States. Enjoy the community pool just a few steps from the unit, or maybe you want to use the multitude of facilities of the Green Valley Receational Associtation (GVR) has to offer. Part of what makes Green Valley so special is the GVR, A non-profit organization operating 13 recreation centers which give GVR members unlimited possibilities for play, leisure and learning in this active 55+ community. GVR members have access to 13 centers’ pools and spas, six fitness centers, tennis, pickleball and other sports courts, over 1,000 classes, and lectures, 60+ clubs of various interests and fine and professional arts and entertainment presented in GVR’s West Center for Performing Arts. These amenities are available for persons staying longer than two weeks. Whether you are staying that long or not there is plenty to do during your stay. Enjoy the other activities, such as hiking, biking, bird watching, golf or just enjoying the warmth of the Southern Arizona sunshine.Tucson is a short drive away which offers other entertainment and shopping opportunities. Enjoy one of the area casinos for gaming, dining and entertainment. Visit places like Tombstone, the town to tough to die or Bisbee with its mining history. Maybe an overnight/long weekend trip to Sedona or the Grand Canyon. Missing your snow, looking to get some skiing in, Flagstaff and the rim country offer great skiing. From your lazy boy you can report to the folks back home on the warm weather and the snow-capped mountains.We like dogs, so please ask about the pet policy. Fur babies are part of the family.We are in the process of painting, installing new carpet and putting in new flooring. I will update photos once this work is completed (9-12-19).
