“River Run” is a nature lovers’ retreat nestled in the woods on 14 acres in North Georgia with 1/2 mile of Little river/ Wahoo Creek frontage. Enjoy swinging, picnics or a campfire by the river, and daily walks by the river will be a favorite with so many spots to stop and take in the scenery. In the warmer months you can tube from the front of the property to the back, and the property abounds with beautiful Mountain Laurels in shades of Pink in the Spring! If you are feeling adventurous, it’s a 1 1/2 hour kayaking or canoe trip from the back yard to beautiful Lake Lanier!! The front porch has plenty of room to enjoy conversation and a sweet tea or a nap on the porch swing! There is also an upper back deck and lower porch with views of the river.. As you step inside, the oversized windows give a peaceful feeling as you are surrounded by trees. Enjoy the large stone fireplace upstairs or down as there are living areas on both floors . Also, just off the kitchen is a 22×22 great room to enjoy a movie, meal, games, or some reading and relaxation. You will be surrounded by views, pine shiplap and cedar beams. The master bedroom overlooks the river and the master bath has a claw foot tub and a shower, again with views. Back to the outdoors, there is a special prayer garden by the water which will refresh your soul! A perfect spot for your quiet time or your own private Sunday morning church! There are many areas along the river for picnics or outdoor dinners, including a 24×24 covered pavilion great for inviting family and friends over for the day! While on the property, you can pan for gold as this is the area where gold was first discovered! If your goal is to relax in a private setting, surrounded by the beauty of North Georgia with PLENTY of outdoor space to enjoy….this is your place!!! There are many things to enjoy close by which include several North Georgia Wineries, the beautiful town of Dahlonega which was actually in a Hallmark Christmas movie, The Consolidated Gold Mine as Dahlonega was the site of the first US Gold Rush, Gainesville Marina to rent boats or jet skis, rafting, kayaking and tubing, Gainesville Botanical Gardens, North Georgia Wildlife Park and Safari to name a few!
