Contemporary Gem/Gallery/BoseEXCITING NEW REMODEL MAY 2024!Welcome to my beautiful home on Maui at the Palms at Wailea!Check in is 4 PM check out is 11 AMMay 2024 I brought the condo back to its original luster from when I purchased it in 2012. The condo is located in the upscale neighborhood of Wailea and it’s location on the property. It makes it feel more like a private home than a condo in a resort. The views are expansive. You see the neighbors house across the street the new project that has just been completed and Through the Monkey Pod trees, you can see a small ocean view of Molokini and KahoolaweI had the entire apartment painted with semi gloss on the baseboards and doors and a satin finish on the walls, with blue ceiling over the bed, which I find very calming.Please be mindful when enter the apartment to remove your shoes and to keep your luggage and handheld carry-on personal items from hitting the walls as to avoid scuff marks, which will show up quite clearly right now:-))AIR CONDITIONERSI also added air conditioning throughout the apartment so that the entire unit can be chilled down on those really hot days.There is a split unit in the living room and in the bedroom for your comfort.Please be mindful of the energy spent running these units.Electricity is very expensive here on Maui and would really appreciate it if you would shut down the units when you’re off on your daily adventures!Upon your return home, open all the windows and enjoy the Tradewinds or turn on the AC and in 15 minutes the entire apartment is chilled down to your comfortable temperature.Please remember to turn the temperature up from 67° as you’re likely to put it down as cold as you can to chill it down quickly once the apartment has reached your desired temperature set the temperature to a comfortable 74 or 75°.I think you’ll find when the sun has set the temperature can be turned up to 79 or even 80 depending as the evening temperatures are usually 10° cooler until early morning and then the day starts all over again!When sleeping at night it’s preferred that you turn the unit off in the living room and just use the unit in the master bedroom only please.When the door is closed in the master bedroom, the AC can really chill down in there, but once you’ve cooled off, I honestly leave the AC on at 79 to 80° which is perfect for me for sleeping It just takes the humidity out of the air and you sleep like a baby :-)TV BEDROOMThe television in the master bedroom has cable TV and an Amazon fire stick.Just change the input with the Panasonic remoteThere is a spectrum remote to operate cable TVThere is an Amazon fire stick remote to operate itPlease respect my wishes conserving energy as the price of electricity on Maui very expensive.CONDO AMENITIESThe condo comes with anything and everything you can think of in the kitchen including three different ways to make coffee and for the beach the condo comes complete with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, cooler and toys.For your indoor pleasure, there are lots of games to play with along with a Bose surround sound system that produces the most amazing sound when watching movies or playing music through the smart TV.To operate the TV in the living room, simply use the Sony remote to power on the television.Give it a minute or two and the Denon receiver in the white cabinet will automatically turn on as the television switches to the external speakers which are connected to the denon receiver, featuring the Bose surround sound system.There are four speakers in the ceiling and one center speaker in front of the television for the ultimate sound and vision experience!THE VIEWS, POOL AND GROUNDSThe condo faces south, from the lanai and can you look over the beautiful lawn and hedges through Monkey Pod trees you can see the small island of Molokini and Kaho’Olawe in the distance.I’d also like add that the condo feels more like a home then part of a resort complex since there are no other units that can see into the apartment which makes it feel more like a private residence with a lot of outdoor space.When you’re looking south out of the condo whether it’s out of the master bedroom living room, or lanai you’ll have a direct view of the 10,000 foot mountain called Haleakala!Every morning you’ll experience the sunrise over Haleakala when you start your day!The sun continues to rise up and over the condo and sets on the other side where you can watch the Sunset through the windows by the front door in the entryway and living room.The pool is just a one minute walk from the condo, literally just walked downstairs and across the parking lot, stay to the left of the hedge which stores the recycling and rubbish, keep walking till you get to the next parking lot and road, turn right and the pool is there on your left.The pool is best place to watch the sunset, especially from the third floor gazebo.The pool and grounds are extremely exquisite. The pool has a Jacuzzi, which is amazing and the grounds are featuring every palm specimen in the world.There is a lily pond at the top next to the pool and it runs down into a brook with a little bridge that goes across it making its way down the property to the lower units.We are situated at the top of the hill on the same level as the pool, so you won’t be hiking up and down the hill just to go to the pool.You should go for a walk down the property and enjoy the beautiful grounds.If you want to keep going, you can leave the property going down the street and you’ll see an intersection, go left down that street which has no outlet, but has a parking lot at the end of the street where you will have access and the one most beautiful beachs on the island Keawakapu!HOW I START MY DAYA wonderful way to start your morning would be to go for a run or a long walk on Keawakapu where you have all of the five star hotels in Wailea.The first Hotel you come to is the Andaz Hotel, I like to start there get a coffee, which is usually free and then make my way through the property with its cascading pools down to the ocean and onto the path along the water in front of all of the hotels!LANAI STARGAZINGOn a clear night, the lanai is the perfect spot for stargazing!Not only do you get a Sunrise and Sunset over Haleakala, you also get a Moonrise and Moonset as well.When it’s a full moon, it’s pretty spectacular to go down to the beach if it’s a clear night and watch the moon set over the oceanIt’s an unreal experience so bring your camera everywhere you go :-)THE ARTLast and definitely not least my favorite part of the apartment is my artwork!All the photos on the wall are taken by me which are so beautiful and love having my own private gallery I can share with you!The photographs reflect light in the most beautiful way, the more light you give it the brighter they become which is why having them all on dimmers is idealSet the lighting according to your mood and enjoy the peace and tranquility the landscapes give you.Please don’t put your fingers on the artEXPLORE THE ISLANDYou should definitely take the time to get in the car and explore the island!If you want to see the sunrise over Haleakala make advance reservations and arrive 30 minutes before the sunrises.The drive is less than an hour from the condoYou should definitely take the road to HanaI suggest you leave early in the morning as possible if you wanna make it back from the same day for the sunsetI would leave around 7:30 AM, maybe stop at Twin Falls, or just keep on driving until you get into Hahn town where you find the black Sand Beach of Waiʻānapanapa State Park.You can park at the end of the road in the same parking pass as the one you use for Haleakala State Park.Hike up to the twin waterfalls a mile and a half up which is an unforgettable experience!Two other hotspots over there are we red sand beach, which is just on the other side of Hana Bay.You can park in front of the school and there’s a trail that takes you around the right side of the mountain to the beachIf you’re unsure, just askOne other amazing spot it’s called the Venus pool where the ocean meets freshwater, a site that is not to be missed but here you’re asked to jump off a rock at least 10 feet high or more so more for the adventure types.WHERE TO EAT IN WAILEAFood shopping can be fun here!The closest store is the gourmet market in the shops at WaileaOne of my favorite health food stores is Hawaiian Moon just down the roadOne of my favorite restaurants is the Monkey Pod which requires a reservation, but also reserves tables to accommodate walk-ins aOao Sushi is in the same complex as Monkey Pod the Gateway Plaza and the sushi restaurant gets five stars.KIHEI RESTAURANTSKihei Town has a lot of less expensive choices for dining and one of the things they do best are fish tacos like Paia fish, market, and Coconuts and sushi like sushi in Paradise and Kohisa.GYMPowerhouse Gym is the best on the island so you might want to check that out!!EMERGENCIESMy housekeeper, Don Batbie is available for extra cleaning and if I am not available as he is my own island agentIf you are a golfer Wailea Blue and Emerald courses are world class and steps away.I WANT TO WELCOME YOU TO MY HOME!!A WARM ALOHA TO YOU,LAWRENCE DALUZThese taxes are applied to the nightly rateHawaii State taxes 18%Transient accommodations license numberGE-186-625-2288-01TA-186-625-2288-01Tax Map Key Number2100/8082/0040Maui county transient accommodations taxes 3%
