Take morning walks to watch the lobster boats come and go from Wells Harbor three-quarters of a mile north, spend your afternoons boogie boarding and sunbathing on the ocean beach, and search for hidden treasures in the dozens of antique shops that line Wells’ stretch of Route 1 three miles west.Wake up to the sounds of coastal birds nesting in the neighboring wetlands and brew a fresh pot of coffee in the cozy kitchen. Assemble a homemade fruit salad for breakfast using local Maine blueberries, toss your flip-flops and beach towels in your bag, and spend the morning building sandcastles on Wells Beach. Come home at lunchtime to prepare a New England clambake on the charcoal grill while the free WiFi streams some tunes. The back yard is the ocean marsh and the marsh waters will go up and down daily with the tide. During inclement weather, the extremely high tides waters may rise to the cottage edge.If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
