Don’t worry about driving either, as the five-minute shuttle ride can whisk you to the mountain in no time. Venture out a bit further and you can easily find yourself in downtown Truckee (seven miles north) or taking a dip in the blue waters of Lake Tahoe (eight miles southeast).Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.)
