East Haddam is home to endless amazing parks, Hiking, Kayaking & skiing all within a 30 minute drive…Gillettte Castle & the Goodspeed Opera house are minutes away. Also its nice that a short walk away is tavern on the hill a great BBQ place, coffee/Pizza/Groceries etc..Machimoodus State Park and Lake Hayward are my favorites.East Haddam offers visitors the opportunity to explore history, art and natural beauty in scenic New England. The town covers 56.6 square miles, including the village of Moodus and five other distinct areas east of the Connecticut River.
