Description

Lakefront cottage with direct access to lake and docks. 840 square feet. One bedroom with queen size high quality bed. Queen size Sleep sofa in living room. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, dishwasher, modern gas stove/oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster, drip coffee maker with permanent filter, and washer & dryer, and nutribullet.We are close to great hiking and mountain biking trails, 4 ski resorts, historical sites, and parks.The house is 30 minutes to Okemo Mountain Ski Resort, and 35 minutes to Killington and Pico Ski Resorts. The lake freezes solid usually between mid January to late March. It is active with skaters, cross country skiers, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.We are 4 miles to a Shaw’s for groceries. Castleton has 5 restaurants, and nearby Fair Haven has a few as well. We are 20 minutes to Rutland with even more choices for dining out.Wildlife here is amazing. Ducks, geese, eagles, muskrats, beaver, and blue herons are seen most days. It is a paradise for bird watching.
