Built in 1867, the Mayor’s Quarters has three bedrooms and two bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to five Lucky guests. It is the ideal choice if you’re looking for the charm of an historic home without sacrificing the convenience of downtown living.Each room of the home is steeped in relaxed elegance, with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities. Throw back the shutters and let the sunlight stream into the welcoming living room, with original hardwood floors and decorative hearth. Pocket doors lead to the adjacent six-seat dining room, where more stately antiques and period charm abound. A full bathroom with walk in shower is located underneath the stairs. The updated, fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, and the adjacent “keeping room” is a truly special brick-lined enclave with cozy seating for intimate conversations or curling up with a good book. French doors in the kitchen lead out to your spacious and private brick-paved courtyard. Equipped with a gas grill and ample seating, you’ll be able to enjoy Savannah’s perfect weather dining al fresco.Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms are elegantly appointed with rich, dark woods and soothing neutral tones. The full bath upstairs boasts marble tile, his and her pedestal sinks, and a cast iron claw foot tub. The first bedroom has a Queen-size bed, ornamental fireplace and tons of closet space. An oversized second bedroom is quite large for the neighborhood, and has a Queen-size four-poster bed and ample closet space to accommodate longer stays.
