There are multiple sets of patio furniture, a porch swing, a well-lit covered patio, a fire pit and horseshoe pit in back, and a sunny deck in the front with a view of the trees.LOCATION: Munds Park is 40 miles east of The Village at Oak Creek in Sedona, 120 miles north of Phoenix, 20 miles south of Flagstaff, and 90 miles from the Grand Canyon National Park; Northern Arizona University (NAU) is just 15 miles north off the I-17. This is also the perfect location to watch the elk at sunset, fish (catch and release) at Lake O’Dell just over a mile away.CLEANING PROTOCOL: Please note that we are following the CDC recommended cleaning protocol. Our housekeepers: sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknobs; use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies; wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination; clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists; provide anti-bacterial soap and extra cleaning supplies, so Guests can clean during their stay. We also comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.YOUR EXPERIENCE: Watch birds fly from branch to feeder and enjoy views of tall pine trees and sky through clearstory windows in the great room which has a stone fireplace, leather game table, chairs and a sofa which converts to queen-size bed with memory foam mattress; High-Speed WIFI; a 60″ HDTV with streaming with Netflix, Pandora, Amazon, and Satellite; more than 50 movies on VHS or DVD, board games, Legos, tinker toys, Lincoln Logs and other games.FOR THE GOURMET COOK: Casita Bonita offers an unusually well-equipped kitchen. Cookware, spices, baking supplies and even condiments are provided. There is a dishwasher, oven, microwave, blender, K-cup and drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, crockpot, hand mixer, toaster, iron, full-size washer and dryer; and propane Weber grill on the covered side deck (propane included.) Our Guests say that the house has everything they could possibly need. We usually even have extra toothbrushes!BEDROOMS Casper King in the Master Suite, Queen bed in guest bedroom, and the living room has a sleeper sofa by the fireplace with memory foam mattress. Beds have fresh, clean quality linens, with edtra sets available. Both bedrooms have Flat screen HDTVs with streaming; Master bedroom has a smart TV and Guest Bedroom has a Firestick.Whether it’s hot outside or it’s a snuggle-by-the-fire day, Guests immediately feel at home in this upscale property. Casita Bonita is a year-round rental, perfect for a romantic getaway, relaxation, for family celebrations or for adventure. (But NO parties or events are permitted since the cabin is located in a quiet residential area.)FIREPLACES: In addition to the wood burning fireplace inside, there is also an outdoor firepit. Please note that Guests must strictly observe Pinewood Fire Department and Coconino County fire restrictions. Always verify “no burn” days before using the outdoor firepit. While unlimited firewood is provided, Guests will need to bring a hatchet to chop kindling outside or bring Duraflame type starter logs. Please note this is absolutely a NO SMOKING property. E-cigarettes, vaping and smoking of any type are never permitted inside. An ashtray is provided on the back deck, and Guests must verify that smoking outside does not violate current fire restrictions. Used Pod and cigarette butts must never be disposed of inside this strictly non-smoking home.One or two dogs may be permitted with prior approval and for a nominal flat fee, please see Rental Agreement for restrictions regarding dogs.GOLF: Public play is not permitted at PINEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB (open May to October) a private club located one mile away with a scenic 18-hole championship golf course, a full dining room/bar, pool with food and beverage service, full gym, rec center, community theatre playhouse, tennis/pickle ball courts, and organized activities for all ages. Bearazona is about 40 miles away. Ride the Grand Canyon Express Railway to the incredible Grand Canyon National Park (just 100 miles away by car.) Enjoy Sedona’s famous red rocks and Oak Creek Canyon where there are spectacular views, hiking trails, shops, restaurants, spas, and art galleries. Flagstaff has concerts, theatres, museums, grocery stores, casual and gourmet restaurants, and the famed Lowell Observatory. Ski, snowboard or ride the scenic chairlift in the summer at the Arizona Snowbowl (27 miles north.)
