Wake up surrounded by the serenity of nature, where you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife…deer, elk, birds, rabbits, in your own front yard. Enjoy a leisurely hike, right out your front door, or just a few miles away you’ll find trails to challenge the most avid hikers. Trout/Salmon fishing, rafting, soaking in the hot springs, skiing, biking all within a lovely 1-25 mile drive. Fine dining and entertainment all near by. Don’t forget to ride the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train! For winter sports fun, it’s just a short drive to Durango Mountain Resort or Wolf Creek. But if your idea of fun is just hanging out at the cabin and taking a nice winter walk, you can hike or snow shoe in the freshly fallen white stuff, then run inside to warm by the fire and sip hot chocolate! Ice skate at Chapman Ice Rink or experience a sleigh ride in Durango. Phenomenal sledding hills are located in our mountain community, at the nearby lake and park. Experience the peace and serenity of our little piece of heaven. You’ll no doubt be planning your next visit, before you even begin to head back home! Unfortunately, I am allergic to dogs and cats so we do not allow them.
