The saltwater pool is nestled among native palms, sea oats and mangroves for a very private experience. You’ll have your choice of two dining areas, a gas grill, and chaise lounges in the sun or the shade.It’s a short trip on boat or kayak from the dock to Bimini Bay, Tampa Bay, Egmont and Longboat Keys, and the Gulf of Mexico. There are a number of waterfront restaurants close by where you can dock and enjoy a great meal.If watercrafts aren’t your thing, the dock in your back yard is also a great place to fish, or just to sit and enjoy a beverage, watch the mullet jump and see the seabirds skim the water. In the winter months, it’s not unusual to see dolphins and manatees cruise by.If you must leave the island, the nearby Sarasota / Bradenton area is known for the arts, dining, shopping and baseball Spring training. Less than an hour North over the Skyway bridge is Saint Petersburg, with its Baywalk and Dali museum, and a little further North over the causeway puts you in Tampa with its own arts, sports and history, and a great Aquarium.Whatever you choose to do – this beautiful home and Island is a great place to do it – or to just relax and do nothing at all.
