Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead and know what’s going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn’t safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island.All pets must be preapproved before booking. We do not allow cats/other animals.*Dogs are WELCOME! However, you must indicate this (size, breed, age) in your booking ahead of time, so please do not instantly book if you intend to bring a dog. A pet fee of $100 will be required per pet (2 pets max) and must be paid prior to check-in.Please note that on the 7th day of your booking, you have the option to pay for a second cleaning to have fresh linens on the bed and new towels. However, starting from the 8th day, it’s mandatory to have the cleaning service and fee.
