It has passed through three more families before miraculously returning to a family member, the great, great granddaughter of the original owners.Growing up, she had heard many stories of the home and its beauty but was under the impression that it was no longer standing. Then, serendipitously, on her birthday, in the summer of 2019, long time family friend called to see if she knew who these people were that built this gorgeous 112 year old home and had the same last name (maiden) as she. The friend looking for real estate in Waco, had stumbled across this gorgeous historic home in downtown Waco within walking distance to the farmers market, the Silos and Austin Ave businesses. The moment she heard the description of the home, she knew it was her great great grandparents!
