Its a few a steps off the patio to a private gate into the heart of the Village and the best fresh oysters, seafood, tropical drinks, ice cream, entertainment, and even gourmet donuts on the island. The beaches at this location are the widest and have panoramic views of the gulf to the North-West-and-South and are the top spot in North America for viewing sunsets. You can swim or “often” wade to Sand Dollar Island, a naturally occurring white sand cay popular with dolphin’s sand-dollars and “occasionally” giant-conch. The water is shallow clear and calm with white quartz-sand tide-pools perfect for sleeping drinking or playing. This is the only spot on Siesta where you can go from the water to lunch or dinner and back to the sand without putting on your shirt and shoes.History – “Life is a string of pearls where you never know how many you have left.” – GVLJ.
