Description

Googie Ranch – Historic Racquet Club EstatesThe City Of Palm Springs ID# 1542This 1959 Butterfly Alexander, in Racquet Club Estates, was designed by renowned architect William Krisel and has been obsessively restored to it’s original vision of space age optimism. Nat Reed had the unique opportunity to meet with William Krisel on several occasions and discussed where to find and how to incorporate original concepts and materials for the renovation. When you step inside the home you will enjoy a one of a kind Palm Springs Mid Century experience from the vintage furnishings to the original construction materials. The artist, Nat Reed, brings the same bright palette and sense of fun to the decor that is on display in his retro modern inspired art. Nostalgically themed bedrooms tickle your imagination. Sweeping clerestories and a wall of south facing glass bring the outside in, flooding the house with sunlight and warmth. From your own quarter acre lot enjoy the meditative view of the San Jacinto Mountains, while lounging by the kidney shaped pool. Nap in the hammock under the quiet shade of an olive tree. Wash away your stress in the refreshing outdoor shower (hot and cold) in the completely private backyard. On cool evenings, gather around the flickering firebowl for a nightcap. A mile from downtown. Make your mid-century immersion complete at Googie Ranch. During the summer of 2021 new Italian ceramic tile flooring and fresh paint in all areas of the home was complete, giving a fresh look and feel to Googie Ranch.
