Apartment attached to larger 1800s Saugerties village home, own separate entrance. It is less than one block from the center of town, and walkable to various bars, restaurants, galleries, etc. It has all of the necessities for a comfortable stay in this Hudson Valley town.Note: this unit is not recommended for people who have difficulty with stairs because there is a steep twisting stairway. Also, we are very pet friendly so if you’re allergic or don’t like animals then not the place for you.The house is in the Village (town) of Saugerties.Saugerties is near the mountains and heavy snowfall is possible. Please prepare with proper gear, and note that snow removal may not coincide with your stay.Winter Rules:1. Rates reduce on 11/1 thru March 31.2. We charge extra $50 a day for heating fuel which is based on 10 gallons of heating per day. Anything less will be refunded on checkout. No charge for electric heat.Since we are in a rural mountain environment, please be prepared for many indoor and outdoor critters and insects. We do our best to rid the unit of spiders and other bugs don’t be too surprised if the very determined bugs in Saugerties make it into the unit.We do remove them on each cleaning but drain flies are common and little fruit flies near windows. Again we remove these and regularly exterminate but they are a reality of life in the area.Any interaction with these insects that are native to the area does not qualify for any refund or compensation.1. Very pet friendly, many guests bring dogs, and a cat formerly lived in the unit. Therefore, this place is not ideal for people with allergies or sensitive to prior pet guests.2. There are two units in the house but there is not a connection between our 2 units other than between two external doors.3.
