    Description

Commonly known as the Paniolo countryside, you could pass right through the small town of rural Waimanalo on the southeastern corner of O’ahu and never realize what you missed. Nestled in this quaint village is a hidden gem, Hale Waimanalo, where you will wake up every morning to a sunrise over a perfectly turquoise shoreline. This historic four bedroom, four and a half bath home built in the 1930s, has been beautifully remodeled, with contemporary decor and a massive amount of windows to take full advantage of the stunning ocean and mountain views on either side. The multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and its location on a beloved beach, make this quintessential beach house ideal for large families ready to enjoy all the splendor that Hawai’i has to offer. The oversized gray sectional and woven accent chairs in the living room are positioned in front of a large flatscreen TV, but the real show is happening outside the expansive windows, where you have unobstructed beach and ocean views, and the cliffs of the majestic Ko’olau Mountain Range stand in stark contrast to the baby blue sky. Beyond the french doors, the sizable covered lanai offers plenty of outdoor seating and is the perfect place to watch the incredible sunrise over the ocean each morning, as well as the way the light changes on the mountains as the sun rises in the sky, an incomparable way to start your day. Then head back inside, through the living room and into the gourmet kitchen, where you can pour yourself a cup of coffee and prepare a hearty breakfast. Stainless steel appliances and white tile provide a modern aesthetic, and the white cabinets are stocked with all the kitchenware you need. Then relax at the large eat-in table for eight and enjoy the phenomenal ocean view as you consume your meal. All of the bedrooms in this home are exceptional; they each have ocean views, their own half or full-size en suite, split air conditioning units, and ceiling fans, so there’s no need to argue when assigning rooms. In addition to a king-size bed, the primary bedroom also has private access to the backyard from its well-appointed en suite. Two of the guest bedrooms also boast king-size beds and daybeds, and one of them has a private lanai with stairs that lead down into the backyard. The final guest room is perfect for kids, with four twin beds perched under windows through which the cerulean sea is visible. This is the only room with a half bath; all of the other bedrooms have full-size en-suite.The garage has been converted into a game room with large sliding glass doors that lead out to the beach level of the home. Challenge your friends and family to a game of foosball, watch the game on the large flatscreen TV, or workout on the provided Peloton bike in this versatile space. Enjoy high speed wifi throughout the home, ensuring you have access to email and social media, so you can share those fantastic vacation photos with those who couldn’t make the trip.Just steps from your door is popular Waimanalo Beach, a white-sand beach great for swimming or body surfing, depending on the size of the waves on any given day and voted one of the best beach in Oahu.A short 10-minute drive takes you to the Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail, where stunning ocean vistas await along the paved path. The house is only 15 mins away from the town of Kailua. If you’re visiting during the winter months, be on the lookout for Humpback whales spouting or breaching in the ocean off the coast. If you prefer to see marine life up close, visit nearby Sea Life Park, where you can book a dolphin encounter or buy tickets to the Ka Moana Lu’au where you can take part in an authentic Hawaiian tradition. Oh! and last but not least, this is the home featured in the Disney TV Show Dougie Kamealoha!
