    Description

Call it casual luxury. Call it tropical chic. This two bedroom/two full bath Harbour Place condominium is a part of Key West’s prestigious Truman Annex community. From the luxurious pool area below, you can enjoy breathtaking views just steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Watch passing tall ships, cruise ships, pleasure boats, party boats, sport boats. Watch evening after evening of world-famous Key West sunsets.Sun yourself or take a swim as pelicans and puffy clouds waft overhead-the pool is for Harbour Place guests only, surrounded by lush tropical foliage, and the water is temperature-controlled and inviting. Three stories up (by elevator or stairs), the balcony of this professionally decorated condo features chairs, a glass-top table, and glimpses of the Gulf waters along the length of the historic Naval Station administration building. As you enter, the kitchen is to the left and features all the modern conveniences you’d expect in a classic residence, whether you’re planning to make occasional sandwiches or a full gourmet meal. Done in blond wood with sand countertops and white appliances, the kitchen gleams under recessed lighting fixtures sprinkled across the ceiling. A sign over the stove echoes the name of the residence, “Havana Hideaway,” and sets the design tone in decorative tile: “Havana Day Dreamin’.” One wall of the kitchen provides a convenient counter and pass-through to the dining area. The rectangular dining table and four slatted chairs are as ideal for a game of cards or Trivial Pursuit as for a meal. Right beyond is the living room space delineated by a colorful octagonal area rug. The comfy seating includes a generously sized couch and occasional chairs facing a flat-screen TV, posters of Havana, lamps, and other delightful decorative touches. Above is a tiki tropical ceiling fan circulating air, its palm leaf blades suggesting the romance of La Habana. Of course there’s cable and wireless high-speed internet. Ambient light fills the room from the wall of glass and glass door out onto your private balcony and outside seating area.Back across from the kitchen is a half bath and laundry closet with a new large-capacity stacked washer and dryer. To the right is a hallway with a full bath to the right and guest bedroom to the left. The master bedroom with en suite full bath is at the end of the hallway. The guest room has a very comfortable queen bed, plenty of drawer and closet space, decorative lamps, and a tropical fan above. The color scheme is clean white with accents of lime green. Delicate tropical fish decorate two lamps that rest on small tables on both sides of the bed. One wall features a large window with a view of swaying palms beyond. The double glass doors on the same wall open onto the deck where you can sit in your PJs to have your morning coffee, bask in the sun, and enjoy the view. All the glass is hung with slatted window blinds that easily open and close to let in the light or close out the dark. The closet houses bedding, hanging space, and shelf space. The master bedroom is painted in white with a blue accent wall. The room features a canopy-frame king bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, and a dark wood dresser with plenty of drawer space. A TV and lamp rest atop the dresser. The closet in this room stores the roll-away and has plenty of hanging and shelf space. The en suite bath has a linen closet with fluffy bath towels and colorful beach towels. Double sinks are generously spaced apart with doors and drawers below for your toilet articles. One wall of the large two-person shower area is decorated in brown and beige glass tiles creating a sense of a cascading water fall. A colorful travel poster of people dressed in Sunday best attending an event at the Havana-American Jockey Club adds a color-filled accent to the room.Once you’ve enjoyed checking out your vacation get-away and unpacked, it’s time to venture out. Steps from your door enjoy the manicured landscaping, verdant palms, and interconnecting pathways that give your Truman Annex neighborhood its park-like atmosphere. Once outside the wrought iron privacy gates, you’re literally just steps from the free-spirited fun of America’s only Caribbean island: the Historic Seaport, Duval Street, the Southernmost Point, Fort Zachery Taylor beach, or the beaches along the Atlantic. Check out the tours, museums, water sports, shopping, bars, and over two hundred restaurants, many with open-air seating, some right on the water. While your condo comes with reserved and covered parking, you’ll find you don’t really need a car. From your central location, everything is easily accessible by foot or bike or pedicab or taxi. 10% DISCOUNT for Monthly/Seasonal (30 nights or more) stays in OFF SEASON!
